Based upon years of working with both brokerage and asset management personnel, the every increasing regulatory requirements and the essential need to be cost competitive we saw a need to develop a affiliate asset manager program.   The program is a cost effective manner in which established asset managers can concentrate on their core competence while at the same time feeling comfortable that they are covered from a compliance and support standpoint.    The need for support services arises from the recognition by asset management that a disproportionate percentage of time is being used in administrative management, prime brokerage, marketing, etc, as opposed to focusing on managing portfolios.     We feel that the target managers that benefit from our program carry an asset base between $20mm - $150mm, primarily raised from high-net worth individuals.
